| The Melbourne University Taichi and Wushu Club was founded as a group for leisure, fitness and self-development through traditional Chinese martial arts. Since its beginnings, the Club has grown to a large corps of active members from a variety of backgrounds and has also just recently begun to offer the Qi Gong discipline too.
Our club's chief instructor is Master Liu De Ming, the 5th generation inheritor of the Liu He Zi Ran Men lineage martial tradition. Master Liu oversees our club's training programme with his popular mixture of historical instruction, practical demonstration and supportive encouragement, and is supportive of his students as he is expectant that we will do our best.
The structure of our club's training programme allows different individuals to learn, to a certain extent, at their own pace. An elected executive committee is in charge of the club who organise training as well as social events. We are proud to be members of the MUTWC and we invite you to come share this experience, improve your flexibility and fitness (no matter your starting level) and most importantly, have fun and make friends.
